Justin Audinot worked for George Withers in London before returning to Mirecourt in 1898, where he established a firm at 5 rue du Brueil that produced high-quality commercial instruments. He ran the family business until his death in 1903, after which he was succeeded by his brother, Emile Audinot. The firm continued to be operated by his family for many years.
