Hans Poulsen
Violin maker
(1861 – 1949)
Hans Poulsen apprenticed in Germany, gaining experience with the Schuster and Breinl firms before establishing himself in Copenhagen around 1885. He was a prolific maker of instruments known for their consistent quality, using good materials and soft oil varnish. His workshop employed both of his sons, and he received various medals and honours for his fine work. Hans Poulsen / Kjobenhavn 1895.
