Ignaz Christian Partl was the son of Michael Andreas Partl. He created a neatly made Stainer model featuring a high arch with small edges and corners. The scroll was neat and precise, characterized by a broad pegbox and a deep open throat. His instruments were noted for their very dark, thin, and opaque varnish
