Benjamin Banks II
Violin maker
(1758 – 1820)
Benjamin Banks moved away from the family shop in Salisbury before 1777, working in Golden Square, London, on what was presumably Sherrard Street (now Sherwood Street). He finally relocated to Liverpool with his brothers, where he died. A label in a cello of small Stradivari model also bore his signature on all parts.
