Rowan Armour-Brown

Rowan Armour-Brown studied under G. B. Morassi in Cremona from 1972 to 1975 and later worked for G. Solomon in Somerset in 1976. He established himself independently and created many fine instruments, earning awards at Newark in 1976, Strathclyde in 1977, and London 'Facia Britannica' in 1981. He taught extensively in Loughborough, Cambridge, and Newark. His personal model was very refined, based on classical proportions, and was finely and accurately finished with a full coating of rich clear red-brown varnish. Made in Newark in 1992.
