Franz Albert Nürnberger was the son and pupil of Christian Gottlob Nürnberger. He became a founding member of the Markneukirchen bow makers guild in 1888. His distinctive work featured a later Tourte model with a relatively rounded frog, and his craftsmanship influenced the shops of R. Weichold in Dresden and W. H. Hammig in Leipzig. He was also the father of Franz Albert Junior.
