Alfredo Averna was the son and pupil of Gesualdo Averna. He worked alongside his brother Alfonso and his son Enrico. Established in Palermo in 1930, he exhibited at Cremona in 1937. His work included Cremonese and Neapolitan models, and he also made bows.
