Armando Barbieri was active in Forli from 1924. He was a sculptor, artist, and poet. He made all members of the violin family, including double basses, to a good standard. His work featured classical models and Antoniazzi-style designs. The varnish was dark red-brown, with a quite thick and brittle texture. The scroll was well-balanced and concentric.
