Mathias Heinicke

Mathias Heinicke studied in Markneukirchen and Italy. He was active in Budapest and Berlin. He established himself independently in Skalná in 1897. His work included fine copies of classical Italian pieces, each featuring appropriately shaded varnish. He made extensive use of timber reclaimed from old buildings. He utilized spirit and oil varnish based on his own recipes. His brand was located on the back, and he used printed labels.
