Eugen Tenucci was of Tuscan origin. He studied under Ziist and served as the head of the violin department at Hug & Co. in Zurich starting in 1899. His instruments featured Stradivari and Guarneri models, utilizing oil and spirit varnishes of suitable colors. He was well regarded as a connoisseur and expert.
