Antonio Merighi

Antonio Merighi moved to Milan around 1803. He completed a significant amount of work for Count Cozio di Salabue until 1810 and is recorded by the Count as having possessed the notable 1707 Stradivari cello known as the `Countess of Stanlein'. His own creations were in the style of Rocca, though they were somewhat coarsely finished with a hard red varnish.
