Joannes Arnoldus Roumen

Violin maker
(1802 – 1876)

Joannes Arnoldus Roumen was the son, pupil, and successor of Lodewich. His style recalled Mirecourt work, featuring large upright soundholes and short corners. The head was rather carelessly carved, and he used good orange varnish.
