Pietro Antonio Testore (17 October 1732 – after 1780), Paolo Antonio's only son to take up the family trade, married twice — first Teresa Beretta, who died soon after, then Maria Antonia Borgia — and in 1776 was compelled to leave the Testore family's long-held home on the Contrada Larga when the building was demolished for the new Teatro della Canobbiana. He is also remembered for a real, documented scandal: having taken in a widow's musically gifted son to train as a violin maker, he arranged to have the boy castrated to preserve his voice before it could change, provoking a formal complaint once the boy's mother learned of it.
