Otto Luderer was a pupil of E. Reinhold Schmidt. In 1910, he emigrated to the USA to work for Oscar and Ernst Schmidt in Cleveland, where he stayed until his retirement in 1975. His personal model featured red-orange spirit varnish. He primarily focused on repair work.
