Gallus Ignatius Widhalm was the second son, pupil, and assistant of Leopold Widhalm. Most experts generally praised him, but no instruments with his personal label are known, as he worked for either his father or elder brother, both of whom used the Leopold Widhalm label. Vannes mentioned cellos resembling those of Guadagnini.
