Orrin Weeman worked for A. W. White from 1869 to 1872. He established himself independently in 1872, with assistance from his son starting in 1900, and partnered with two musicians as Weeman, Beal & Holmberg from 1910 until his retirement in 1919. The company continued operations until 1938. He was a prolific maker of violins, cellos, violas, viols, and viola d'amores.
