Giuseppe Nadotti
Violin maker
(c. 1737 – c. 1789)
Giuseppe Nadotti possibly gained experience with G. B. Guadagnini and was certainly involved with his affairs, showing a notable stylistic connection. The instruments were well modeled with flat arches and Stradivarian proportions, and the soundholes were set close to the edge. Materials were generally quite plain, but the varnish was of good golden-yellow or red-brown quality.
