Paolo Guadagnini
Violin maker
(1908 – 1942)
Son of Francesco and the last in a 250-year lineage of violin makers, Paolo Guadagnini first studied with his father and then later with Annibale Fagnola. He made only about 20 instruments over the course of his career, as much of his time was occupied with dealing and repair work. His small output is reminiscent of his father's work and features a pale orange to reddish orange varnish.
