Giuseppe Guadagnini was the second son of Giovanni Battista Guadagnini and was known as '11 Soldate'. He was a pupil and assistant to his father, working alongside his brothers Gaetano, Carlo, and Fillippo. Before 1782, he left the family business in Turin, working independently in Pavia around 1780-1781, and later in Como and Milan, but he returned to Pavia. His various models typically featured prominent outward-pointing upper corners, with a scroll somewhat reminiscent of Storioni, characterized by an extended last turn and small chamfers.
