Joseph Louis Germain

Joseph Louis Germain trained in Mirecourt before relocating to Paris in 1840. He worked for C. F. Gand and then for Vuillaume from 1845 to 1850. In 1851, he was appointed principal workman for Gand fils. He established himself independently in rue Saint-Denis in 1862. His work featured fine French craftsmanship based on classical models with shaded varnish.
