Josef Antonin Cermak was a pupil of Benjamin Patocky. He worked in Kutná Hora from 1898 to 1910. His professional work was very fine and followed the styles of Amati, Stainer, Stradivari, and Guarneri. The varnish he used was golden-yellow and rich red.
