Victor Audinot, son of Charles Audinot, studied under Chardin and T. Barbé. He worked briefly in Mirecourt before establishing himself in Paris on rue Truffaut in 1913, where he created meticulous copies of classical instruments, including the 'Sunrise' Strad.
