Giovanni Maria del Bussetto
Violin maker
(fl. 1660 – 1680)
Giovanni Maria del Bussetto was active between circa 1660 and 1680 in Cremona. His instruments are extremely rare, but those that survive are recognisable by their distinctive f-holes and rather square outline. Although Bussetto's instruments vary in quality, his best work is comparable to that of many of his great contemporaries and has occasionally led to his work being attributed to other Cremonese makers.
