Charles Adolphe Maucotel

Charles Adolphe Maucotel worked for Vuillaume and was the brother of Charles Maucotel. He established his business in the Galerie Vivienne, Paris, in 1844, moved to Croix des Petits Champs in 1852, and finally settled in rue Princess. He took his own life at the age of 38. His instruments were fine examples based on classical Cremonese models, made with excellent materials and varnish.
