Nicolas Harmand

Nicolas Harmand was a master in the Violin Makers' Guild in 1772 and is recognized as the finest maker of the Harmand family, active in the second half of the 18th century. He was known for his small model violins, the use of fine materials, and a distinctive good red-yellow varnish. His work was branded 'Au Roi David'.
