Louis M. Condax
Violin maker
(1897 – 1971)
Louis M. Condax was a research chemist for Eastman-Kodak. He became an amateur violin maker around 1920 and later collaborated with Simone Sacconi on the analysis of classical Italian varnish. He completed 40 instruments, including a viola that was illustrated in the catalogue of the Sacconi Loan Exhibition in New York in 1966.
