Jacques Audinot
Bow maker
(1922 – 1992)
An important figure in the French bow making revival of the 20th century. At first he worked as a violin maker, and was apprenticed in the R.&M. Millant workshop from 1936. He started making bows in the 1950s and developed a style based on the Peccatte school.
In 1969 he opened his own shop in rue de Saint-Petersburg, Paris, now run by his son, Pascal.
