Albert Ellersieck

Albert Ellersieck was a self-taught German maker who worked in Rostock, Mecklenburg from 1878 to 1892, in Greiz, Thuringia in 1895, and finally in Berlin starting in 1900. He received several exhibition medals for his craftsmanship, which was noted for being good, although often slightly oversized. In addition to string instruments, he also made plucked instruments. His workshop was known as Albt. Ellersieck /Atelier für Kunstbau von Streichinstrumenten / Rostock i/M. 1892.
