Kurt Brychta
Violin maker
(1908 – 1978)
Kurt Brychta was a violinist and violin maker from 1930. He established himself in Buffalo from 1947 to 1974. He made 162 instruments, which were oil varnished using his own recipe, with some constructed from imported prefabricated parts. In 1976, he received a certificate for workmanship from the Violin Society of America.
