Carlo Antonio Santino Lavazza
Violin maker
(1689 – 1726)
Carlo Antonio Santino Lavazza (3 November 1689 - 5 September 1726), son of Pietro Antonio Lavazza, became -- following the death of his elder brother Antonio Maria in 1708 and of Carlo Giuseppe Testore in 1716 -- the most senior violin maker still active on the Contrada Larga, at only twenty-six. Neither he nor his brother married or had children, so the family's making tradition ended with his own death in 1726.
