Georges Charles Fillion apprenticed at Mirecourt. He worked in Paris, Berne, and spent two years with Hill & Sons in London. In 1896, he established himself in Strasbourg. His instruments followed the Stradivari model and exhibited workmanship of the highest order, featuring fine orange-yellow varnish.
