Josef Bausch

Josef Bausch trained at Markneukirchen. He worked in Schwerin in 1921, Bad Doberan in 1926, and Rostock in 1928. He was another claimant to the discovery of Stradivari's 'secret. ' Theories were published by him for graduating and shaping the plates, as well as describing the qualities of his varnish. He produced accurate copies of individual Stradivari and Guarneri instruments.
