                                    Bow maker
                                    (1903 – 1976)

After starting work in the case department in 1917, Arthur Copley transferred W.E. Hill & Sons' bow department, where he remained for 30 years, though he had little affinity for the work. Copley's bows are marked with the numeral 1, the first in a new identification system used by the firm.
