Gregorio Antoniazzi

Violin maker
(fl. 1730 – 1750)

Gregorio Antoniazzi was a rarely encountered but significant maker of the Bergamo school, not associated with the later Antoniazzi family of Cremona and Milan. His origins remained unestablished. He produced a very fine soft orange or darker red varnish along with a classically proportioned form, although his head was rather undistinguished.
