Instruments bearing the joint "Vigneron" label represent the shared output of Joseph Arthur Vigneron père — himself trained by, and adoptive stepson of, Claude Charles Nicolas Husson — and his son André, who continued the family workshop into the next generation. Joseph Arthur's own prolific output, said by his nephew Charles Enel to have sometimes reached a bow a day, combined the strength of his early Mirecourt training with the finer influence of the Paris Voirin-Vuillaume school he absorbed while working for Gand & Bernardel.
