Pierre Vidoudez

Business school in Geneva came before, not instead of, real training in the trade for Pierre Vidoudez (1907–1994) — he went on to the Mittenwald school, and counts among the generation of makers, experts, and restorers touched by Simone Fernando Sacconi, whether by working directly under him at Wurlitzer or learning from him in Italy. He succeeded his own father, Alfred Vidoudez, and stepped into Bernard Ouchard's former position in Geneva once Ouchard left for New York; in 1949, on Marcel Charles Lapierre's own recommendation, Lapierre joined him at the Vidoudez firm.
