Paul Bisch was a pupil of Mougenot and also worked for Caressa and Français in Paris. In 1919, he returned to Mirecourt. His work was fine and accurate, reflecting the style of Gand, and featured a red-brown oil varnish on a yellow ground. He received a silver medal at Nancy in 1928.
