Anton Wittmann studied under E. Heidegger in Linz starting in 1892 and later with Stiibinger in Vienna from 1897. He established himself independently in Baleinestrasse in 1910. His work featured fine professional quality with richly colored oil varnish. His instruments are labeled 'Anton Wittmann Geigenmacher. / Wien in Jahre 19..'
