Wonderful work on classical Cremonese models. Cellos greatly sought after. Also made viols and plucked instruments. Early work maintains a disappointing Tyrolean dark brown varnish but in Viennese period found a fine rich golden-yellow recipe, later darkened to a deeper clear red-brown. Fine materials.
