Marius Didier apprenticed at Thibouville-Lamy in Mirecourt. He was one of the finest makers from Mirecourt and received several awards for his work that imitated classical Cremonese instruments, particularly the 1716 Stradivari 'Nessie' violin. He branded his instruments and included a printed label.
