Anton Wachter
(c. 1769 – 1789)
Anton Wachter was a prolific maker. His models were generally derived from Stradivari, although they exhibited strong Tyrolean influences. He sold through dealers and wholesalers. The soundholes were inspired by Stainer. He used good materials and applied a deep golden-brown varnish.
