Violin maker in Lyons. Elder son of Louis Vissenaire I. He and his younger brother, Louis Nicolas, took over their father's business, renaming it Vissenaire Frères. Together they became the official luthiers of the Lyons Conservatoire in 1873, using a 'Vissenaire Frères' label.
