Lapo Casini

(1896 – c. after 1986)
Lapo Casini was the son and pupil of Serafino Casini. He also trained with Del Perugia. His personal model was based on Bartolomeo Bimbi, utilizing red and yellow oil varnishes. In 1954, he wrote and published a book on ancient varnish and gained a great reputation as a restorer. His printed labels included: Hoc Opus est. / Quod Ego Lapus Casinius Filius Seraphini / Construxi Florentiae A. D.
