Georg Tieffenbrunner
Violin maker

Georg Tieffenbrunner worked for Engleder in Munich and later in Augsburg. He was the son-in-law and successor of F. Krenn, a guitar maker in Munich, from 1842. He was appointed luthier to the court and retired in 1875. Primarily focused on plucked instruments, his repair label was found in a viol at the Bach Museum in Eisenach. His son, also named Georg, became a guitar maker and established himself in Mittenwald.
