Giorgio Corsini was a violinist and a self-taught violin maker, guided by R. Fredi. He was a fine craftsman who created various models featuring a range of varnishes. He also made cellos, double basses, viols, and viola d'amores. From 1949 to 1951, he was occupied with repair work for the atelier of Fredi, which was then run by his daughter.
