Alfredo Contino
Violin maker
(1890 – c. 1963)
A pupil of Vincenzo Postiglione from 1902, Alfredo Contino succeed to the Postiglione workshop in 1916. He produced excellent copies of Gagliano family instruments. Some of his instruments have a strong and distinctive greenish-hue to the varnish.
