Peter Teufelsdorfer was a pupil of F. Geissenhof in Vienna. He established himself independently in Budapest from 1808. Following Geissenhof's advice, he gained further experience by examining classical instruments and became the chair of the luthiers guild in Budapest. He was highly influential in the Hungarian school. His pupil J. Kabinger succeeded him. Other pupils included.
