Johann Georg Melzl

Johann Georg Melzl worked in Munich before he took over the business of G. A. Thumhardt in Straubing in 1830. He used a Stradivari-derived model and produced mediocre work with red-brown varnish. He also made guitars. Georg Melzl was a Saiten-Instrumentenmacher in Straubing in 1842. Joh. Georg Melzl was a Guitarren- und Geigenmacher in Straubing in 1831.
