Violin maker
(1849 – 1940)
Freelan Oscar Stanley developed photography processes for Kodak and built his own historically significant steam-powered car, the 'Stanley Steamer, ' in 1906. He was a highly proficient amateur violin maker with a distinctive personal model derived from Stradivari. The soundholes were narrow and widely spaced, featuring Guadagnini-like oval finials.
