Jacob Fendt
Violin maker
(1815 – 1849)
Born in London in 1815, Jacob Fendt was one of the more talented makers of his family, though his remaining instruments are rough and do not match the talents of his brother Bernard Simon II or father Bernhard Simon I, for whom he worked. Like his brothers, he lived a precarious existence and died young.
